Just a little update

Sorry i'm so useless on the blogging scene at the moment, there isn't much to write!

The biggest news is that I have this week started my new job at a little company called TALKINGECH!! Yes that's right, i'm back! I'm going to be doing a marketing/comms/product management role for them. it's pretty cool and there are some exciting things coming up. hopefully it may mean some travel home at some stage too (fingers crossed).

so anyway, started this week. am deadly poor which means that until my first pay day there will be nothing at all new to report because i can't afford to do anything!! but that is all good.

for those of you that know mere she arrived a couple of days ago so that is exciting. oh on weds night me, stace, ange, rich, phil and sian d went to see fat freddy's drop which was all good in theory but the actual gig was a bit boring (much more fun to see at a festival i think).....

anyway, that is it for about now. will write again soon when i have something interesting to say!

Adventure #2 - The london arrival

Since i've been in london for 5 days now i'll write this as a day by day......

saturday
Arrived at about 3.30pm. Phil and ange picked me up which was so cool and we drove through central london back to ange's house in Holloway (north london). had a shower, got sorted then matt rennie, his girlfriend, jigga and friends arrived. cool to see matt and ali if you are reading this andrea is really lovely!! then krea, jason and sian arrived! so exciting so much chattering was going on. we headed down to a local pub in angel called the queens head for my 'welcome back party' it was so cool, so much fun and the guest list was huge, the sorts of names i'm talking are:

ange, matt, andrea + friends, sez, pies, stace, rich, phil, mark, gabe, matt west, kylie c, johnny upsdell, brad flahive and anja, nick mckensie, jason wade, sian d, krea, rebecca jennings, megan downing, michael watts (the wattanator), andrew fredricks, kylie and dan lincoln, amanda alley.......forgive me if i've forgotton something....

anway, it was a brilliant night but i didn't get home till 2am which was about 6pm hong kong time so it meant i'd been up for a very very long time.

i don't have any pics of that night but hopefully i'll get some off someone and post them

sunday
london turned the weather on. got up and ange and i went for a huge walk around angel/islington where she lives. it was lovely. then when everyone else had woken up we headed over to primrose hill for a lovely picnic. poor michael we made him carry the heavy chilli bin the whole way in the scorching sun....

it was such a lovely day. me, stace, sez and phil went to church and left the others on the hill then we walked from baker st thru regents park to pick them up.

monday
went for brunch with krea, stace, sez, pies at giraffe in marylebone and then we dropped krea off at victoria then went shopping in high st ken. obviously we didn't really buy much (as we were all too poor) but it was so good to see my beloved top shop and h&m......i can't wait to get a job!! that night had dinner with above and rich at a local restaurant in west hampstead where stace lives.

tuesday
went into Talkingtech for the day to catch up on emails and do some work. then we all went out for dinner to a cool bar in chancery lane called 'the last' for sian's 29th birthday.

wednesday
some interviews at recruitment agencies and more work at TT

thursday
same again

friday
in at tt all day today. got a few bits and bobs planned for the weekend. tonight stace, phil and i are off to the movies in hampstead which are big comfy seats, it's a gorgeous little theatre....

will try and do more updates regulary.....

Adventure #1b - Hong Kong again

Sorry it's been a while (well not that long) since i updated. thought i'd quickly fill you in on the last of the HK trip.

basically we just did a lot of shopping (well matt did sez and i bought pretty much nothing) and walking around. matt and i also went to the flashest restaurant either of us has ever been too called 'the felix' in the penninsula hotel. it was so flash and in the boys toilets (so i was told) the urinals were by the window so when you went it was like going over the city (is that too much info?)

anyway here is a pic of matt and his new car he bought in hong kong.....just joking (obviously) this is one of 20 custom made rolls royces that the hotel have!!! so flash. we decided to get a taxi about 2 blocks to the hotel when we arrived cause we didn't want to look too budget. (sorry about the quality of the pic)

we hung out some more at the soccer club but it rained our last two days so there was no more swimming.

Adventure #1 - Hong Kong

first ever blog.....bear with me!

arrived in hong kong late tuesday night. had thought that matt wasn't going to be able to make it on my flight but miraculously (and in true stark style) he decided at 10am that he would be coming on our 1.10pm flight!! so that was good not having to fly out by myself.

anyway, we arrived late and headed to uncle merv starks 5 star apartment!! so cool!! the view from my room is amazing. it is such a treat.

the next day we went to anna and matts apartment to meet up with them, sez and the lovely & gorgeous noah. man he is cute, they have done well there. sez, matty (stark) and i went up to the peak and looked over hong kong through the rain and fog. matt thought this photo was funny to take. luckily with a digi we could check it before we left!!



then came down and met annie and the Hong Kong Football club which is this lovely oasis in the middle of hong kong. we sat by the pool and swam. it was so nice as it is so flippen hot and muggy here.

just had a quick read through, you are probably pretty bored now so the rest will be brief. dinner with the matts (west and stark) and the girls plus matt wests clients in lang kwon fong district which was cool. stanley markets today and just some mooching around central hong kong. stopped into tiffanys and matty got the lady to show us a $300,000 dimond ring i so wanted to try it on but i was too scared.

am loving hong kong i reckon it is so cool.
